Andrew was so inventive with his ideas for breakfast. On this morning he made cheese blintzes that had a mango sauce poured over it. It was delicious, I wish I could go back for more.

Today was going to be a busy day, we had tickets to go on the backstage tour of the Festival theatre. It was an interesting walk through different areas of the theatre. We started our tour in the theatre. Our guide told us about the history of the theatres and about the Festival theatre in particular. We discovered how the walls were designed in a certain way to better carry the sound around the room.

They showed us where the weapons were made and where the actors do rehearsals in a room that is set up similar to the actual stage. The one difference is that the stage steps are represented by tape laid on the floor. There are many plays being done at each theatre and the one that is going to be played for that day uses that room. We also saw the carpenter area where sets were built.

We wandered through the wardrobe area where seamstress were putting together costumes. The guide told us to go through at a leisurely pace but the problem was that when I looked for the front part of our tour everyone had disappeared and the tour was following me, big mistake on their part (ha, ha)

One of the workers asked us if we needed help and we were told we were in an area we weren't supposed to be . We eventually found the rest of our group.

After the tour we had to get ready to see the matinee performance of the "Scarlet Pimpernel" which was being performed at the Avon theatre. It was a very nice play that was set during the French Revolution. Scott played Ropespierre, he wore sunglasses which I couldn't help be reminded of Kermit, he did evil so well.

The "Scarlet Pimpernel" was smuggling the aristocrats out of France and into England. The play was performed so beautifully and at the end everyone stood up and cheered.

After the play we came back to the B&B and had dinner, we had arranged beforehand with our innkeeper that we wanted dinner. Andrew came up with another great creation for dinner. He served pasta with vegetables on top and for dessert a variety of small cakes, chocolate and sponge cakes and strawberries and blueberries.

It wasn't long before we had to get ready for the next play Richard the 3rd, which was also being performed at the Avon.

The actor who played Richard the 3rd was great and Scott had two roles in the play. Clarence and King Edward. His characters both die in this one. This was not my favorite play, I thought it was too long and slow in parts.

One of the highlights of the day was meeting Scott. Before the first play of the day we left word, a postcard for Scott, that we would like to see him after the play. So we went to the stage door and waited for him to come out. He was so nice and patiently signed autographs and took pictures. Chris gave him a shirt from the Globe theatre in England. We told him we would be returning to see Richard the 3rd and we'd look for him again. So we saw him later that evening. It was so exciting to meet him.

After the second play we went home to our B&B.

Today I started out my day with French Toast for breakfast. Andrew never ceased to amaze me with how inventive he was when he was creating breakfast for us. I use the word creating cause he was like a artist in the kitchen.

Today was going to be another fulfilling day, Barb was going to take Gini, Maria, B-M and I to St Jacobs, it's a small town where many Mennonites live. We visited the farmer's market and the town.

The market was huge, there were so many vendors selling their wares, I picked up some meditation balls that had yin/yang symbols on them. Barb had a set of them in her apartment. You move them around in your hand and they make a noise and it's supposed to relax you. We ate lunch at one of the many food vendors, some were run by Mennonites. Barb left us briefly while we were at lunch and came back with some handmade pot holders from one of the Mennonite stands and gave it to us as a gift.

After we left the market we went to the town and visited the many shops there. Then we returned to Stratford to get ready for the fourth and last play we would be seeing. "My Fair Lady", featuring Geraint Wyn Davies as Professor Higgins.

This play was one of my favorites. The actors were great and the costumes were so beautiful. It was all so magical, the music was magnificent. After the play we went to the stage door and met Geraint. He was so nice and took pictures and signed autographs, he signed my playbill. I took a picture of him and Maria. She became a fan of his when he played Nick Knight in the TV show "Forever Knight."

After the play we decided to have a drink and we strolled over to a bar called "Down the Street," the actors supposedly hang out there, but it was too busy so we ended up at the Bentley Inn, Maria was staying here and it also had a bar.

I had chicken wings and a sloe gin fizz, I had wanted a pina colada but they didn't make them. I sat with Amy, Chris and Bevie on one wall across from the bar. Behind the bar was a TV screen where there was a trivia game being shown. We were playing along.

One highlight of the evening was while we were having a fun time two cops showed up. I thought they had found out the "Bad Girls tour" was in town and they were there to make sure we behaved ourselves. Actually they just came in and walked around and left.

We ended our evening back that our B&B.

Today was our last day in Stratford, Amy, Chris and Bevie were leaving for Niagara Falls and meeting a friend of Amy's there. I was going to be picked up by Maria and B-M and we were going to Niagara falls too. We did have to make one stop at Barb's on the way. Maria wanted to buy wooden clothespins at St Jacobs as a souvenir for her mom, but Barb said she had bags of them at home and to save her money. So Maria got them from Barb.

It was pouring by the time we got to Barb's, we hung out for a while. Barb gave me and Maria some rain ponchos she'd gotten from Marineland. B-M had gotten her butt wet when she had to lean over to load my luggage into the trunk in Stratford. She had her umbrella and ended up changing her clothes at Barb's.

We ran to the car, the ponchos kept us dry. On our way to Niagara we decided to stop for gas. B-M pulled the car up to the pump but realized she was on the wrong side. The opening on the car was on the other side. So she pulled the car up and I was watching what she was doing and I was laughing when I noticed she turned the car around and still pulled in on the wrong side . Maria was standing by the pumps watching all this and she thought B-M had gone crazy. We did eventually get it turned in the right direction and Maria pumped the gas in. But it was a funny situation.

We then stopped at a place along the way to eat, it was called the Orchard. I had a grilled cheese sandwich, Maria had fish and B-M had lasagna.

It had stopped raining by the time we made it to Niagara. We parked in one of the lots and took a people mover, (one note, I discovered Maria can't find her way around a parking lot. She had driven into the lot and ended up in a roundabout going around again.) We took a double decker bus into the falls and a tram coming back out.

The falls were magnificent. This was the third time I had visited them. I saw a beautiful rainbow coming up from the mist. We didn't take the Maid of the Mist, I did go on it four years ago. We took plenty of pictures at the falls, Maria and I got silly and we ended up taking pictures of each other with our cameras in our hands.

We stopped at the gift shop and B-M bought film and Maria and I had gotten bottled water. We ended up running into Amy and the other gals in the gift shop. They were heading out to Toronto, which is where we were headed after the falls.

We hung around for a while longer then we headed to Toronto.

Maria and B-M were staying at the Hotel Victoria on Yonge Street by King Street. I was staying at my friend Nanci's place, she lives on the outskirts of Toronto on Dundas. Maria and B-M dropped me off there and left to check-in at their hotel.

Nanci had a cute black cat named Boo-Boo, he is still a kitten but he's pretty big. He liked to hang out by the bathroom window and look out.

I got settled in, it was great to finally meet her.

I showed her my drool material books (my pictures of Chris Potter I had collected over the years) and she showed me her books. She also gave me a CP picture on a keychain.

We relaxed for a while then headed for bed. I slept on a sofa bed in her living room.
