Well, this is really Day 2, but there's no
pictures from the planes and airports worth showing. We pretty much spent
the whole day going from Göteborg to Toronto, with a three hour stopover
at London, Heathrow. One of the smoothest travels I've ever had actually.
No running between gates, no turbulence to talk about, and actually enough
room to breathe on the plane too. So, on with the show. I've selected just
about half of the 400 pictures I snapped with my cameras.

 |
| The 'very
interesting' view from our room at Sheraton Airport Hotel. Very
convenient location when arriving after midnight. |
Even though
the Toronto airport seemed made to confuse the hell outta us, we
managed to find an Airport express bus to take us downtown for some
sightseeing. |
The bus took
us right downtown to Union Station. We followed the stream of people
towards the CN tower and the Skydome. (There were a concert of some
kind scheduled for that afternoon). These strange scupltures were
right at the base of the CN tower. |

 |
 |
 |
| Planet
Hollywood, not exactly the place we wanted for lunch, we headed on. |
With
Chinatown in mind, we walked the almost empty streets north. Old and
new, high and low, this city has a lot of contrasts. |
Melting away
in the humid HEAT, I think we saw somewhere that it was 36C!!! We
found us some shade for a few minutes. |

 |
 |
 |
| Good thing it
doesn't show very well on camera how much we were actually dripping on
the pavement. |
Recognize
this? Chinatown! Finally! Didn't remember that it was that far to walk.
We enjoyed a lazy stroll through the Chinatown Centre, and all the
shops. <sigh>Airconditioning! |
Britt-Marie,
easy target. |
 |
 |
 |
| Okay, okay, take one of me
too then. |
We soon continued, looking
for a place to eat. |
Another contrast; after
walking through the near empty streets of the Entertainment District
and the Fashion District, we found Chinatown to be surprisingly
crowded even on a Sunday. |

 |
 |
 |
| This looks nice, we
thought. Lunch in Chinatown, with chop sticks and hot tea. I had the
most wonderful Lemon Chicken ever! |
Don't remember what these
exotic fruits are called, but they were selling them everywhere! |
More atmosphere. |

 |
 |
 |
 |
| Hmm, could this have been
a Fu-location? |
Or this? It looks damn
familiar. Being here for the third time makes me wonder if I recognize
it from the show, or because I've actually been here before. |
If anyone knows what this
is about, please email me and let me know. |
Right in the middle of the
sidewalk, they had a high pole with a chair and a cat on it. Looked
very strange. |

 |
 |
 |
| Can't find something? Go
to Chinatown, they will have it. |
There's A LOT of traffic
on Spadina, especially through Chinatown. |
Hmm, why did I take this
picture? Because a pink house like this could only be in Chinatown? |

 |
 |
 |
| "Smile for the camera?
Please, just one more picture." |
Look, a Shaolin Moose! |
He's guarding the entrance
to the Herb Depot. Sure looks like a place Caine would love. |

 |
 |
 |
| People thinning out, we
must be leaving Chinatown. It was time to begin moving back towards
the bus again. |
Turning down University
from Dundas, we found this little cannon. Wanna pose, BM? |
Look, Old City Hall. They
seem to be doing some repair on the clock tower. Think the quake
damaged it? |

 |
 |
 |
| Another view that looked
eerily familiar. What episode was that again? |
Union Station. Where we
were supposed to pick up Linda a little later. All we had to do now
was to get back to the Airport and the Hotel, and find the Car rental
agency. |
Hey, that building looks
familiar. The bus passed right by it on the way back to the Airport.
|

 |
 |
 |
 |
| One more shot of the twin
towers as the bus begins to move. |
We got the rental, and
found Linda. Guess where we went first? |
Chinatown. |
We had dinner at the
Harbourfront. I managed to get this shot of the CN tower only minutes
before the thunderstorm moved in. |
