The day had been long and it had ended with a foot chase though the park. Peter and Jody had both taken a couple spills, he straining his shoulder a bit and her landing in the fish pond that was less pond and more mud.

"Peter, I need to go home and change before we meet everyone at Delanceys'"

Jody still didn't like the idea of asking Peter for rides but until her car was fixed she was with her favorite partner all day long.

"Yeah, C'mon we'll get you home and cleaned up."Peter had willingly surrendered the suspects to the waiting unit of vice cops who had started the chase in the first place.

Jody walked into her apartment and threw the keys on the counter. "Make yourself comfortable partner I'll be as quick as I can." She was into the other room quickly and started to strip off the muddy clothes.

Peter walked to the refrigerator and helped himself to a beer. He walked into the living room and sat down on the couch. As he lowered his body onto the couch his shoulder reminded him that he had fell wrong on it.

About 15 minutes later Jody stepped into the living room and saw him rubbing his shoulder and definetly in a bit of pain. "Hey Partner take your shirt off and lay down on the floor," she said as she threw a pillow down on the floor.

Peter looked up at her his eyes giving away his thoughts at her statement. "Heh relax I'm only going to rub your shoulder so that it won't hurt so bad."

Peter stood up and did what she had instructed him to do puting his shirt over the arm of the couch. He laid on his stomach with the pillow nestled under his cheek and wiggled to get himself as comfortable as he could.

"Stand up for a minute," he managed to say clearly. Jody stood up and started to move away when he grabbed her ankle. "I didn't say go away." She stopped and watched him roll onto his back and then sit up. "Okay come back here."
