"Where's Waldo?" How about "Spot the
extra"?;-)... Keep an eye on the long, brown haired man next to Caine at the Pai Gow table. He has the most obvious, if not the most frequent extra roles in this series. In fact, in this episode alone, he pops up in ALMOST EVERY scene involving a group of people. What's really funny about this is that we see him in the background at the gambling club when Peter tells Jennifer he's lost all the money. He's standing in-between them as they're talking and Jennifer is indicating that Caine is causing a stir. In an instant they cut to Caine's table, and who's sitting next to him? The same guy! How did he get there so fast?:-) And, speaking of which, he materializes downstairs in the private gaming room long before Peter, Caine and Jennifer end up there! He shows up in at least four others that follow. He's in "Disciple" as one of the gamblers at the fights. I only noticed him as one of the spectators at the last fight, but he could be there more often, I just haven't looked hard enough. He's in "Blind Eye" in the nightclub as the undercover cop points out all the suspects to Peter and Caine. He's in "Illusion" as one of the men who is arrested by the DEA agents outside the storage facility. I think he's the one drinking coffee by the limo. He's in Tournament in a few scenes. Most notably the one where Peter approaches Mia at the party. And he's in "The Bardo" reading a newspaper in the waiting room as the young girl is watching the conversation with Caine and Lo Si. |
