| In the script, when KCC1
leaps to the present, he says, gasping, "Turmoil of
the new Century. Warfare. Global conflict. Later. Go
later. My grandson." |

| When Broderick
"reminds" KCC1 who Peter is, KCC1 asks,
"Peter Caine. He is what age?" Broderick: "Twenty-seven, twenty-eight, hey, you all right? You don't look too good" Caine: "Too young. His son. Yes. My great grandson." Broderick: "What?" Caine: "He is here? Peter?" As KCC1 walks toward Peter's desk, Strenlich stops him and says, "Don't take too much of your son's time. He's got three reports that have to get off his desk by midnight." It's Strenlich Peter calls for help when Caine collapses into Peter's arms. When KCC1 tells Peter he reminds him of himself, he adds, "When I was with the Master on his journey to the Forbidden City. Strong, full of passion." |

| There is another scene
with Peter, which is in the tag. Both he and KCC2 are
standing on Caine's terrace. Peter: "In the precinct it was like you didn't know who I was. I talked to you and it was like talking to a ghost. You have a bullet dug out of your chest and walk out of ICU an hour later. And I do I think if I asked to see the scar from the wound there wouldn't be one?" Caine: "Open the journal I returned to you. Your great-grandfather's journal. August 8th, 1905. I'll read you the story of what happened on that date. Then I will explain." Peter: "Will I believe it?" Caine: (he shrugs) "Probably not. But it will be the truth." He puts his arm around his son's shoulder and turns away. Then they dissolve to the shot of KCC1, Lily and Matthew riding off into the sunset. |
