| There is more to the
scene where young Peter insists on going after his
father. After Kahn says, "This is not a mission for
a child", Peter says, (exploding) "They've got
my father! I can't stay here and wait! Listening to my
own heartbeat in this mausoleum. I can help you! I've
been training for years!" Lowry moves into the room. Lowry: "It's too dangerous." Peter: "Why is it not too dangerous for you?" Lowry: "It is. But I have to go." Peter: "So do I! Ping Hi is old. These black widows will sting and his matchstick limbs will break. I'm young! I can fight! You know that!" Kahn zips up the canvas bag and turns to young Peter. Kahn: There's nothing I can do." He moves out of frame. Lowry puts a hand on young Peter's shoulder. Lowry: "We'll be back with your father." |

| Later on during Peter's
waking nightmare, young Peter does some fancy fighting
against the Black Widows before he's knocked unconscious
by Ky Mal and carried off. They show him being thrown
into the room with the spiders. He comes to and hears
them, his eyes wide with terror. He pulls out a matchbook
and strikes a match revealing them as in the episode. |

| According to the script,
it's the sound of the spider on Punch's face that catches
Peter's attention. I had thought he instinctively sensed
it. |

| When Peter and Kermit
split up to go after the sect, there is a shot of Peter
exiting an elevator. He draws his gun. "The hand
holding he gun is trembling." They go to a
flashback, which occurs before he finds Ping Hi in the
room: |

| "Fragmented shots:
Young Peter's terrified face. Black widow spiders
crawling over his body. Arms reaching out and pulling
young Peter up. Glimpse of Mike Lowry's face. Then old
Ping Hi. Part of a disjointed fight. Kahn in the fight.
Using his special 'weapons'. A shadowy corridor. Young
Peter being pulled along. Turning around. Ky-Mal's face
floating in the darkness."
