Implicit Faith
By Linda Schwartz
I can feel the support as you embrace me, you ask me what has happened. I step back and look at your face, afraid of the doubt I might find, there is none.
I ask you if you were going to ask if I did it, murder Rebecca, you say you know I didn't do it.
I am desperate to find the killer, I can't wait any longer I escape!
At Rebecca's apt I find the evidence that will nail the killer, but I have to flee, the police are coming. The windows won't open, I remember my lesson about breaking a seal, it works I'm out!
Heights!, I hate them. Will the ledge be big enough? I hope so. Can't think about that now. I won't look down father. Your name gives me courage. I leap and I make it.
Now I know you did it Sheldon, I come after you and you pay for taking my love away from me.
I'm so tired as I walk over to you. I feel your hand on my shoulder. No words are needed. I'm not too surprised when you mention Niagara falls, I am glad we can share this together. That you are not forced to spend your days visiting me in jail.
Delancy's, I wasn't sure I'd see this place again. I thank my friends, my fellow cops and my attorney. I leave the most important words for you.
I see you at the end of the bar, watching me. You get up as I approach. I thak you for not giving up on me. You say you love me, we hug. I think, thank you, Pop for your Implicit Faith in me. I close my eyes and smile.
